In addition to her work as a violinist in the Sarasota area, Ms. Trost has traveled the world and performed with orchestras that include The Florida Orchestra, Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, Pittsburgh Opera, Mantovani Orchestra, and Star Wars in Concert, just to name a few. Shawna holds a Bachelor's degree from the esteemed Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where she studied with renowned violinists Sylvia Rosenberg and Charles Castleman. Ms. Trost went on to earn a Master's degree with performance honors from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she studied under former Pittsburgh Symphony concertmaster Andrés Cárdenes.
